Landfill Designs, Construction & Rehabilitation
Leon Grobbelaar, our Managing Director, has personally been involved in numerous licensing, landfill designs and construction operations, as well as the rehabilitation of landfills across Southern Africa. We have implemented various waste minimization projects through innovative ideas by removing certain waste streams from the landfill working faces and converting them into value-added products. Examples include anaerobic digestion processes that are used today for the rehabilitation of the very same landfill sites. We are ready to share our experience with all stakeholders through direct involvement, subcontracting, assisting and advising consulting engineers with design and rehabilitation plans for landfills.
Landfill Operation & Management
Landfill Management is the most underrated activity in any Municipality across South Africa, and the ignorance towards the importance of this activity in our communities is alarming.
South Africa has some of the best waste management legislation in the world but we still have some of the worst landfills. At this pace, there will be no unpolluted resources left for our children and their children. Raalebborg Environmental is committed and equipped to make a change from the environmental impact phase to the final disposal phase. We have over 30 years of firsthand experience and a network unmatched within South Africa. The final disposal of waste is the most important link in the chain and cannot be overemphasized. Raalebborg Environmental can either assist you in managing your facilities yourselves through expert advice or we can manage your landfill for you and provide you with peace of mind from day-to-day management.
